If track is becoming a priority, the grip and durability of the Hankook R-S4 us tough to beat. I just bought my second set. Ran 10 track days and 9 autocross events on a single set last year

Pros: grip and durability

The best upgrade i did was ditch the stock faulkens at about 20-25K of use and went with 225-55-17 all season tire for summer use.

Falken Tires

1st thing I did when I got my Alltrack was drive to discount tire and trade my Falkens for some Conti PURECONTACT LS. Got $50 per tire on trade. OEM tires always seem to be cheap versions of their namesake that wear our early etc. Swap em now or before next winter.

Pros: Got $50 per tire
Cons: wear our early
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Hankook Tires

I quit wasting my time with snow tires a decade ago. I use Hankook ALL WEATHER tires.

The V12s were fine in the wet on my GTI, but pretty iffy on the M3. Some of that may have also been related to the way I drove either car and each car's respective power. The M3 basically spun the rear tires in the wet on anything but Michelin Pilot Super Sports (which were absolutely phenomenal in the dry & wet).

Pros: fine in the wet
Cons: pretty iffy
Vehicle: BMW

Falken Tires

I hated the falkens I had on my GLI when I sold it, they did everything in a mediocre fashion but cost considerably less than the Goodyear f1 gsd3's and BFG KDW2's I had prior.

Cons: mediocre fashion
Vehicle: Volkswagen
