I love the Hankook Dyanpro AT-M's on my 4Runner, they might be what you're looking for but there are several good options out there. They've been on my truck for 12,000 miles and as of last week they all had 7/32" tread left so they should last a while. Noise levels and wet/snow traction is very good as well.

Pros: very good wet/snow traction
Mileage: 12000 km

Just finished a canyon run on new Falken RT615K+ Auto-X/ street tires on OEM Austins. Cons are a harsher ride and low life-expectancy that comes with 200TW tires. Pro's are sharpened steering and tread noise that actually is not all that bad. And once they warm up they're absolutely tenacious, with more grip than one will ever need on the street and a progressive break-away at the limit.

Pros: sharpened steering, tenacious grip
Cons: harsher ride, low life

Hankook Tires

Hankook’s VentusPrime 3 is a solid tyre and won’t break the bank. When my mother was changing away from her Goodyear EG’s like you have at the minute, they’re what I stuck on for her. Solid tyre with solid reviews behind it.

Pros: solid tyre, solid reviews

Ventus Prime 3 is a solid tyre. I stuck them on my mothers car and they’ve been good. Touch quieter than the Goodyear tyres before.

Pros: solid tyre, touch quieter

To my relief, no signs of a downgrade going from Michelin to Hankook. Tyre wear might even be slightly better on the Hankook.

Pros: better tyre wear
Cons: downgrade from Michelin
Vehicle: BMW

Falken Tires

I almost bought a set of those federals last summer, until I heard multiple stories of tread separation. Ended up going with Falken 950 ziex. Fairly cheap, and I have no complaints about them.

Pros: fairly cheap, no complaints

Hankook Tires

Something I can personally recommend is the Hankook Ventus v12 Evo2. Great tire and around the same price as the firehawks. Going to perform a little better than the firehawk but not supposed to last as long. TireRack has the Hankooks listed as a "Max" summer tire with a life at ~20k miles(Firehawks tire life supposed to be around 30k). I've put just under 15k miles on them with 2 auto cross days and wouldn't be surprised if they lasted longer than 20k. Got them for $460 mounted and balanced, out the door.

Pros: great tire, good price
Cons: shorter tire life
Vehicle: Honda Civic
Mileage: 24140 km

Because in general the 512 sucks as tire, the 912 is good but wears out fast, and I've had the best experience with the 452 out of all three models

Pros: good experience with 452
Cons: 912 wears out fast

I had the 18" Hankook tires on my 2012 Highline and managed to get almost 50,000 KMs out of them before I traded the car. They were always quite noisy, and they wore terribly.

Pros: high mileage
Cons: quite noisy, wore terribly
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 50000 km
