You can't beat Nokians. I go out of my way to acquire them for all winter tire applications.
No contest between Nokian and anything else.
I'm a big fan of the GY SC3R for HPDE. The grip is so impressive once you get some heat into them.
Snow grip wise, I'd say a Nokian or even Kleber has very good winter tires.
when my older daughter got her license I got her the best Nokian Hakkapeliitta I could find, and she was very happy with them all winter.
Nokian Nordman. They’re last generation Hakka which imo, a ten generation old Hakka is great.
Put new tires on the crosstrek (some Goodyear from Costco) and they are better but I think that's to be expected.
I run Hakka r3. My wife runs General Winter Contact and they are about equal, very quiet good studless winter.
Got Nokians last year. They work much better than the cheap chinese ones i had before.
They worked great when I had them but wore very quickly for me. I have cooper st maxxs now and they have been basically the same but have lasted longer.
My experience with Goodyear is that they are trash.
