The ice performance of studless snow tires is undeniable. But if you live in an area where winter is mostly rain and powdered snow. Without much icy roads or compacted snow. Nordic winters are not for you. Stick with performance winters or all weathers. The rain performance just isn't there.
I have them, studded. They’re a fantastic winter tire. Best winter tire I’ve ever run. I’ve tried blizzaks, Goodyear Nordic ice, Michelin x ice, and some crappy Chinese brands.
This is my first year on them and they perform well on sheer ice, hard packed snow, slush, and everything in between. Highly recommended.
I've had Nokian Hockeypilates before and they are absolutely a competent tire, easily on par with the Blizzaks (if not a little better in some areas).
We have the R5 on the RAV and the 10s on the Camry. Best winter tires we’ve had.
I have Nokian Hakkapelliita R5 snow tires on my 2022 RAV4 SE. I‘m really impressed with their performance so far. We have had a lot of snow and ice and these tires go through everything with confidence. I’ve previously had Michelin x-ice and Blizzaks. The Nokians are in the same league for sure.
Falken and Nokian tyres are my favorites for winter. Falken allyear tyres in the spring and fall, and studded Nokian tyres during winter.
I wanted to provide feedback from my recent purchased of 4 x Nokian all weather WR G4 255/45 R20 for my 2020 Model Y LR.
The car handled snow, rain, slush, and a wintry mix like a champ. Not once did I lose traction or get stuck. The tires and car performed excellent.
I had your predicament last year, and went with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3s. Stickier than R-S4s, but last a lot longer than RT660s. I’m pretty happy with them now that the year is over. I’d definitely recommend them.
when you lose traction, it feels like it will never get to a stop (and that's with Nokian Hakkapeliittas).
Total cluster disaster tonight for Goodyear
