Tires Firestone or IRONMAN

Firestone Tires

You need some better snow tires. I had Firestone Winterforce 2 UV tires on my Jeep and almost always just needed RWD in the UP unless I drove to breakers and it was 12” of snow

Pros: better snow tires
Vehicle: Jeep

I’ve had 2 sets of Firestone over the past 5 years. Destination AT2 & Weathergrip. Both great tires in the snow. Weathergrips are not quiet tires though. But no blowout issues.

Pros: great tires in snow
Cons: weathergrips not quiet

I run 33inch firestone at tires on my diesel truck and they are some of the best tires I’ve gotten. They definitely have improved since the 90s

Pros: best tires, improved

I’ve had a few different firestone tires and have been very happy with them. Winterforce snow tires were decent, and the Destination LE2 were great. I’d be comfortable recommending the newer LE3.

Pros: happy with them, decent

I did however run the Firestone firehawk 500 tires on my car, and holy cow those are awesome tires. 10/10 performance rating, would highly recommend, they’re grippy and sticky as hell for race car like driving.

Pros: grippy, sticky, awesome tires

My Toyota came with Firestones OEM when I bought it new.

I’ve since used other brands, but had zero issues when I had my Firestones. They lasted about 75K miles, too.

Pros: zero issues, lasted long
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 75000 km

I had them on my excursion and while they do ride nice and look cool they will be a hit on mpg, as all AT tires will. And this is where you have to be honest with yourself, we all want to pretend that we take our SUV, off-road, and have adventures with it but, if I’m being real with myself, 95% of its time on road and that other 5% of the time is not a trail that would require an aggressive tire. I saw a decrease of 15% on both of the SUVs I traded a highway oriented tire for an AT tire. And in all honesty it’s definitely not worth that fuel economy loss. Yeah sure they look cool but now in my jeep grand Cherokee V6, I struggle to get 21 miles per gallon on the highway when on the OE tires I could easily get 25. That really adds up to a lot of Extra fuel

Pros: ride nice, look cool
Cons: hit on mpg

I currently have a set of Firestones on my car. I hate them. Noisest tire I have ever used, and they are leaving black marks on my garage floor. But they were cheep and that's all I could afford at the time. Never again.

Pros: cheap price
Cons: noisy, leaves marks

I put Firestone All Season tires on my Wilderness after I got a $600 nail. Biggest mistake. They are crap.

I had the wheels aligned and rebalanced 200 miles after the new tires. They still vibrate and ride like crap as soon as I hit 70mph. Never had that problem with the stock tires.

Pros: better mileage
Cons: vibrate and ride crap
Mileage: 321 km
