I currently have Firehawk AS V2's on mine. I live in an area that gets all four seasons, and they've served me well in the rain and snow/ice. I'm sure I'm sacrificing some summer performance, but that's pretty far from my priority. No issues with excessive wear or tire noise
My wife bought a car from carvana and i noticed on delivery that the tires were at the wear bars. Took it to Firestone, they filed a claim with SR on the spot and had new tires in a couple of hours. Can’t complain about that.
Firehawks are a pretty solid high performance tire.
I put 235/45/19 Firestone Destination LE3s on my '16 and it was about $1200 because of the size.
I use Firestone Firehawk Indy 500’s
Great tyre, a little less money than the Michelin or Bridgestone.
I know this is an old thread, but still posting for the people that find this when researching this tire on Google. I bought my 93 GMC about 2.5 years ago and the PO had just put a set of these on the truck. I'm not a fan of cheap tires, but I've been very happy with these. Not loud at all, great grip on dry payment and off road. They also haven't worn out nearly as bad as previous A/T tires I've had in the past.
Yeah, I have 20k with these on my Mazda6 and I wouldn't say they're unresponsive. In fact I would say they're quite responsive in that they like to track in the direction you're turning, so the car gets encouraged to dive into turns. One thing I have noticed is that they feel much more dead if you let them get low. Keep them at 36psi.
So i have these on my Silverado (different size)i drive hwy daily pavement roads for work but i also live on clay/dirt roads in Ga when it rains its a messy road i bought the whole set(4) in 2021 they've held up im about to get another set bcuz they're 4 years and small cracks are starting to show but the tread is still covering Lincoln's head on a penny ive even drove to Orlando aug last year still holding up so for the price theyre decent tire to have ????????♂️????????♂️????????♂️
The Firestone destination le2 are straight garbage. Mine have 32k on them and they have zero grip in the snow, even in light powder snow. I might replace them before they are worn just because of how dangerous they are in wet and snowy conditions
My dad had a Ranger that came with the recalled infamous Firestone Wilderness AT's. When they did the recall, they put the shittiest summer street tires on as a replacement with absolutely no traction in the snow. That's the worst tire I've ever ran on a vehicle.
