I had the Kumho on my Fx45 before the current Kooks. Overall, I prefer the Hankooks since I feel the ride better, quieter, etc (maybe I am just getting old and need to trade in for an ES300). Plus the Hankooks come with tread warranty, no? The Kumho were a bit stickier but I felt they wore a bit prematurely.

Pros: ride better, quieter
Cons: wore a bit prematurely
Vehicle: Infiniti

Falken Tires

I got some Falken winter tires (Northeast Ohio), they worked great for me last year, but the snow we get here in Ohio is laughable by Minnesota standards.

Pros: worked great last year

I ran those Kumhos on the Volvo 850 Turbo I had, I liked them a lot. The only downside was being that the car was heavy, you could feel the sidewall flex in hard cornering, then again they are a sport all season and not a true summer tire so I think they fit the bill nicely.

Pros: liked them a lot, fit the bill nicely
Cons: sidewall flex in hard cornering
Vehicle: Volvo 850

I love my Falkens. Pretty quiet, no hydroplaning and cheap! Pretty decent grip in wet and dry. Terrible in snow. And They seem to be a very soft rubber that wears a little quick.

Pros: pretty quiet, no hydroplaning, decent grip
Cons: terrible in snow, wears quick

I just got rid of my Falken 512s. They were not good (loud, hard, wore out fast), but for that price pretty much nothing is. I ended up going with Kumho ASX's and I'm pretty happy with them. They have a 30k mile warranty and ride much better than the Falken 512s, are quieter, and offer just as much grip. I think they run around $110/tire.

Pros: ride much better, quieter, good grip (Kumho)
Cons: loud, hard, wore out fast (Falken)

- Quiet when new - Reasonable grip dry/wet - Cheap to buy http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif - Lack of serious siping = don't bother in the snow - Gets noisy starting about halfway worn - If you have any autocrossing aspirations... don't.

Pros: quiet when new, reasonable grip
Cons: noisy when worn, bad snow
