Tires Continental or DUNLOP

Continental Tires

I run continental Dws06+ year round and have yet to have any issues in the wet or snow. I also push the car quite hard in the summer time and they grip pretty well.

Pros: good grip, no issues

Continental Tires

1. Continental Control Contact Sport SRS+

2. Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06+

These were the two options I considered and ended up getting the first one at Discount Tire. It was the cheapest option. I just got em last month.

Pros: cheapest option

I’ve put about 15,000 miles on a set of these. They’ve been great. Grip is great for winter tires and did well in some snow. The tread still looks great after 15k miles too, so should last you a long time.

Pros: great grip, long lasting

Mileage: 24140 km

So, just drove them through the snow. I previously had cross climate 2 on the car and I liked them because they made the car feel unstoppable in snow and rain. But with that came an awful noisy and hard ride. The continentals do everything the Michelin does but BETTER at the trade off of snow traction… About 2 inches of snow this morning and I’ll say this. They get the job done.

Pros: gets the job done
Cons: trade off of snow traction

Continental was a hit and miss for me. One set was great, then four years later the next generation of the same line was rubbish.

Pros: one set was great
Cons: next generation rubbish

DUNLOP Tires

Old post but I’ll chime in. I’m currently running them on a ninja 400 and I don’t like them. I ride hard and ride at the track. These step out all the time and are not confidence inspiring. I’ve lost the rear a couple of times at heavy lean and nearly lost the front today (saved them all). They don’t warm up quickly either.

Cons: step out all the time

As someone who was between these two tires and went with DWS06, get the Michelins. I've had issues with vibrations from the continentals that just won't go away. Balanced multiple times by multiple shops. Had all suspension and steering components checked and couldn't solve it.

Cons: vibrations won't go away
