Tires Continental or BRIDGESTONE

Continental Tires

Continental wintercontact si is damn good value for money and outperforms blizzaks. I use them on my rwd car and there great. Definitely recommend them.

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I use Blizzak WS80's and a couple 50lb sandbags in the trunk. No issues as long as there isn't a shit ton of snow. I still avoid all steep hills.

Pros: no issues
Cons: avoid steep hills

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I have blizzaks and Mrs. Krieg had ice guards on her last car. Both are excellent snow tires, and I never noticed a difference in the wet.

Pros: excellent snow tires
Cons: no difference in wet

Rating 4.0

When it's time to replace my all seasons, I will likely be going with Nokian WRG. I had older generation Conti DWS on my gti and while they were great, the snow traction was only on the first 10k miles of tread. I hear the current Continental DWS 06 are better.

Pros: great all-season tire
Cons: snow traction limited
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 10000 km

I did go with the Conti DWS initially. Hated the noise they made (see my post earlier). I like the P-Zero much better.

Cons: hated the noise
Vehicle: Volkswagen
