Tires BRIDGESTONE or RIKEN

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I basically encounter the same conditions in winter as you do. After having driven many years on winter tyres (Dunlop Winter Sport 5), I switched over to an all-season (Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6).

The benefits in my opinion are better responsiveness while turning in (less block movement of the thread) and the better longevity of the tyre, considering it has to somewhat withstand 30°C+ temperatures by design.

Pros: better responsiveness, better longevity
Vehicle: Porsche

Mine came with the potenza s005. The performance was great but the tire wore out with just 8k miles. To give some prospective, I replaced them with Michelin PS4S and at 6k miles they still measure 7/32 from the factory 9/32. The PS4S provided similar grip levels too.

Pros: great performance
Cons: tire wore out
Mileage: 8000 km

Mine came with Hankook which didn't even last a tank of gas before I put new rims/tires on which made a HUGE difference. Ended up going with Bridgestone Sports which compete with the Michelin PS4S. Never have looked back. Great tire and really transformed the handling of the car.

Pros: great tire, transformed handling
Cons: didn't last

Mine came w the Bridgestones - Potenza S0005 - they are excellent. Grip is so good that w UHP all seasons on the difference in grip is really noticeable - this car has such high limits/power that the difference is significant. Yes, the Bridgestones are noisy, especially on the highway.

Pros: excellent grip, high limits
Cons: noisy, especially on highway

I used to have BT-023s, unlike many here I thought they were fine (and better than the BT-021s I had before). But yeah, *looooong* warm-up time...

Pros: better than BT-021s
Cons: long warm-up time

I have BT023s on my old Triumph, on my second set now and my choice is extremely limited due to the rare tyre size it has! Never had any problems with them, rode through last winter on them and they were 100%.

Pros: no problems, rode through winter

I use RE-71RS on my BMW M4 (3900 lbs) with Autocross since June and about 10 events so far and the outer shoulder blocks’ treads are about 50% worn. Took it to my first track day at NJMP Lighting and now outer shoulder are essentially slicks.

Pros: good for autocross
Cons: outer shoulder wear
Vehicle: BMW M4

I went from stock 19-20mpg highway, 16-17mpg around town to a 3.5"lift and 295/70r18 Bridgestone Revo AT3s and now I average about 12mpg city and 15-16mpg highway.

Pros: aggressive look
Cons: lower MPG
