Correct they're renamed RE-11's. I only use them for summer since I'm in the Chicago area. I've had them on the car for three summer's now and they're pretty much done for now but that includes a couple track days per summer. They're probably about 90% of the PSS in the end they lack the ultimate grip of the PSS but at about a 1/3 of the price. I'd wager I've put about 25k on them in the three summers which is pretty good for a summer only tire.......

Pros: good for summer, good price
Cons: lack ultimate grip
Mileage: 40233 km

My 2018 Tiguan S came with Bridgestone Ecopias. They're nice and quiet. A 2018 Tiguan S loaner that I drove for a week had the Continentals. I'm not sure if it's just in my head, but I think the Ecopias are smoother and quieter.

Pros: nice, quiet, smoother

I'm very impress so far by the handling in the snow with these tires..... They performs well even at -20 degrees Celsius and lower (-4 F)

Pros: impressive handling in snow

Normally I'd say to stick with Bridgestone Blizzak, Pirelli Sottozero 3, Michellin X-Ice 3, or Continental WinterContact Si's... But $200 for a slightly used set on wheels that fit your car? Can't really go wrong there.

Pros: can't really go wrong

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I second all the Blizzak comments. Ran LM32s on several high power RWD cars with solid traction in the dry and able to get my Mustang and Jag around in snow just fine if it wasnt touching the undercarriage.

Pros: solid traction in dry

yes really, quiet, grips just fine for a daily driver golf, and cheap ($224 for the set) I spent more money on my first set of tires, and realized i didn't need them. These fit my need perfectly.

Pros: quiet, grips just fine
Cons: cheap

NANKANG Tires

215 on a 9.5.. i must however say that falken 512s stretch much better than these(although i was happy with how my nankangs looked on the c5's)

Pros: happy with the look
Cons: less stretch than Falken

I went wit Nitto 555s on the GLIwhich has a much bigger tracttion problem than the R's....huge ride, trn-in and traction improvement. OEM there was the rimprotectors known as Bridgestone RE050As in 225/40/18....horrible crap.

Pros: traction improvement, huge ride
Cons: horrible crap
