Tires BRIDGESTONE or Laufenn

I just put these on our Commodore in 245/45R18. They replaced a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE003's. Initial impression is that they aren't any noisier than the Potenza's, possibly a bit quieter. Haven't driven in a heavy rain yet but the performance on slick roads was also good. My biggest concern is that they were going to totally spoil the handling but cornering at civilised speeds is still satisfying. Certainly they don't have anywhere near the dry grip of the Potenza's but they're fine for everyday use.

I recently upgraded my pickup's tires to Laufenn tires and wanted to share my experience with the community. After extensive research and comparison shopping, I opted for Laufenn tires due to their affordable price point and promising reviews. Here's my take on these budget-friendly tires:

One pleasant surprise with Laufenn tires is their comfort level. Road noise is significantly reduced compared to my previous tires, making for a quieter and more enjoyable ride, especially on long journeys.

The tires absorb bumps and imperfections on the road effectively, enhancing overall comfort for both me and my passengers.

Perhaps the most appealing aspect of Laufenn tires is their affordability without compromising on quality. As someone who values both performance and cost-effectiveness, these tires offer a perfect balance.

They provide all the essential features you'd expect from premium tires at a fraction of the price, making them a smart choice for budget-conscious consumers.

They ride great, have great traction in wet weather and do not seem to exhibit excessive wear. Well priced compared to Bridgestones and I have no complaints.

Bridgestone Turanza Quiettracks. Rock. (A huge improvement vs OEM Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires.) Based on my past experience with this and other Michelin tires, not entirely sold on the Michelin brand.

I've been driving all types of vehicles on all types of tires for more than 50 years. The two best value tires I ever owned were Douglas (identical tread and design as my original Pirelli P77's) on an AWD Volkswagon Quantum and a set of Bridgestone Turanzas on a Mitsubishi Diamante (smooth and quiet as driving on glass). Both of these tires gave me over 52,000 miles of excellent service.

I just bought Bridgestone Alenza for my Lexus NX300h

If you see snow, the Weatherpeaks are top notch, almost all my suvs and sedans have them. They're no sport tire but a great all-weather. Noise is great, mpg stayed about the same.

I ran R11s for a while before switching to slicks. They are about as close in profile as you can get when compared to slicks. My only gripe is that they overheated really quickly, to the point where regular slicks last 2-3x as long.

I remember going hot into a turn, getting on the brakes, and sliding sideways with no warning. It wasn't that fast, but still a bit disturbing. I replaced them this year with a much newer set of S04 PP.

It's doesn't matter what you do. Seems like Bridgestone tires only last around 40 ish. Learned that with the quiettracks.
