I got a great deal on Bridgestone Weatherpeak at Costco. I felt very confident driving them in torrential rains last week.
Bought these tires for my Mazda 3 after one of my OEM Bridgestone EL440’s got pregnant(sidewall bulge), and I plugged a puncture in the other one. Decided to just replace the tires completely.
So far I’m happy with them.
Pros:
- Severe snow rating so they are legally snow tires in my state(for mountain passes and stuff), and I’m guessing the snow traction is way better. They are still all season tires though.
- Seems to be a softer ride overall even on the stock 18” side.
- XL sidewall strength, vs the stock tires being standard. Should help with those sidewall issues.
- They seem fairly quiet as far as noise.
- $150 rebate in addition to being fairly cheap
Cons:
- These are definitely not for those people who want sporty handling, they don’t really feel like a sport tire, and are more of a touring road tire.
- I’ve heard the treadwear isn’t the best(makes sense with the snow rating)
I had the Bridgestone Revo 3 in my last truck and they did great. And they have a 60k mileage warranty. I got 70k out of them. Before my truck was totaled. Probably had another 15k on them.
I’ve run Blizzaks in Colorado the past two winters. They’re pretty good but I’m digging the Michelins more and more and will probably replace them next winter
With any car including the Kia Niro EV. It's always the best bet to go with Michelin X-Ice and Bridgestone Blizzack. They're the highest rated and I have driven them on snowy, hilly roads and they seem to have the best grip.
I have an ADV Rear tire on my Fat Boy, and a Cruiser tire on the back.
Both Bridgestone.
They've been great tires.
I have a 2019 SQ5, stock is 255/40 R21 but I found a deal on 245/45 R20 99V LM-32 Bridgestone Blizzaks.
While I do notice the comfort and quietness of the Turanza Quiettrack in the week I've had them, so far, sometimes, it feels like I'm driving in mud, ie the car feels sluggish. The fuel efficiency has also decreased noticeably.
Can’t comment on the Hankook’s but the Bridgestone Ecopias that came with my CRV (2019 EX AWD) are also terrible.
My BridgestonePotenza S001 has 12k miles with 6/32 of tread depth. Likely, they grip marginally better than new but I don't have high expectations from this tire anymore. Nevertheless, I did expect a transformation from wider summer tire, coming from horrendous BridgestoneECOPIA EP422 PLUS .
