Tires BFGoodrich or Cooper
Great tires. Fantastic for wheeling. Remarkably quiet for mud tires when new. After about 40,000km they start to get more road noise as the softer outer rubber compound wears off.
I run those on my xj. They're good beefy tires and I haven't had trouble with them yet in the mud. Lot of road noise but it's to be expected.
I personally like Cooper tires, they’ve always delivered the goods for me personally, but that’s not much to go on.
But I will say in general, tires of equivalent price (not on sale) I would generally choose Cooper over Toyo and the primary reason being I find Coopers are a better value for money and Toyos in my personal experience have more road noise than Cooper tires.
I switched to a hybrid highway/gravel tire made by Cooper and sold through Les Schawb after 9 years running ATs on my Sprinter. The difference in road noise is profound.
I love my k2s. Have had then on every truck I've owned. Currently on a 2003 suburban driving Michigan winters and love them. They have about 63000 miles on them
I had ko2, the weight range was way more than the truck could haul.
I liked how they looked, they did well in the winter in snow, awesome in a muddy campground after rain, also some serious road noise.
I have rocked ko2s on my rv for years. They look aggressive, handle forest roads without the risk of sidewall damage, and do well in different weather scenarios. They're just a great tire.
They’ve always been great tires, wear well and have strong sidewalls, but they do sometimes not work great in wet conditions at slow speeds. For instance if you’re leaving a stop light you can easily break them loose. But at speed they have never failed me.
K02’s have never given me a problem. Switched to Toyo ATII’s once and hated them.
