I had to put a new spark plug in mine after only a few hours of use. It had some China branded in it and I switched to NGK. Also propane creates a hard harder to jump spark gap so you generally have to narrow the gap a tiny bit from typical specs when you’re going to run propane. Since I only run propane I went down a little on the gap and it runs flawlessly. I optimize the gap width by seeing which widths responded best to a sudden surge load without hesitating.
NGK Lazer Iridium Plugs is what I got to replace them in my car. I believe those are what Mazda OEM plugs are, but it’s just cheaper to buy the NGKs from a part store.
use NGK spark plugs, the best ones are the PFR6Q
Pick up some genuine Audi R8 Red-Top coils (not kidding, much lower failure rate) and some fresh NGK Iridium spark plugs.
I had this very same problem where on my 07 V6 the acceleration and power was off. I had replaced my spark plugs with NGK Iridium plugs and after dealing with the horrible performance I decided to change them out for OEM platinum (copper) plugs. This made a huge difference and could immediately tell a night and day difference. Regained the torque and power that was missing.
I've run the NGK ruthenium in my sierra with the 6.2 and they ran great but I notice they aren't the right gap.
You use a **NGK BR2LM.**
I do NGK 6510 one step colder. I do 0.025”-0.026” gap. I had a shop do my last set since I didn’t trust myself. He accidentally did 0.022” and I put them in and they’ve been fine. The other set is 0.018” and idk if ima put them in. Gotta change the one step colder NGK’s at around 15-20k miles. I usually change mine when I start seeing high spark retard. I’m BT 93/E40 with aux.
I bought 2 sets of NGK Irridium plugs from Amazon sellers that turned out to be counterfeit. The electrodes were completely worn off with 60k miles on them. They are supposed to last 100,000 miles. The cars were misfiring and had spark knock.
I learned that proper, very hard to tell, NGK knock offs even existed after I was bitten by fake ones off Amazon. The porcelain around the center electrode broke off and went through the engine.
