Spark plug NGK or Motorcraft

NGK Spark plug

if you don't want to pay for VW boxes, NGK ruethiums are a killer deal on rock auto, I've run 2 sets through out alltrack without a hiccup, about 60K total.

Pros: killer deal, no hiccup
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 60000 km

NGK Spark plug

Now post how much they want to change spark plugs. I've usually seen dealers asking for $200-$250 on a 4 banger. Or I can buy some nice NGK plugs for under $60 and get them changed within my lunch hour in the parking lot.

Pros: nice plugs, easy install
Cons: dealer price is high
Vehicle: Mazda

I run NGK Rutheniums now and they've been excellent handling 30psi of boost with zero blowout even at wider than the .024" gaps that most tuners recommend. Oh and theyre MUCH cheaper at $8/ea vs $40/ea for the NGK race plugs.

Pros: excellent boost handling, zero blowout, much cheaper

NGK Spark plug

I replaced the OEM plugs with NGK, they lasted about 15,000 miles. Burger Tuning told me that 15k is about all you'll get out of NGKs in these cars.

Cons: short lifespan (15k miles)
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 15000 km

Motorcraft Spark plug

That's better than the Motorcraft plugs I received from Rockauto. They were bouncing around (no longer in their original little boxes) in a large shipping box with 2 sets of brake pads.

Cons: bouncing around in box
