Spark plug BRISK or OEM Mazda

BRISK Spark plug

Brisks are great plugs. Do be warned however, their groundstraps are softer than others and open gap much sooner vs other plugs. So you'll be checking them much more often and changing them sooner than the usual 10-15k tuned interval.

Pros: great plugs
Cons: softer groundstraps, open gap

Brisk LGS plugs basically remove that L shape off the spark at the end. I would expect it act more like plugs do when we index them to the fuel flow. such that you get a better flow in the combustion chamber more consistently.

Pros: better flow

I just did mine not too long ago, replaced with Brisk ER12S. Didn’t need a coil puller tool, just had to be careful getting them out. Warming up the engine is helpful too. Otherwise an easy job.

Pros: easy job
Cons: be careful getting them out

Ive been using the Brisk USA Premium Racing Spark Plug 14mm... yeah I get it they are kinda expensive when it comes to spark plugs at little over 13 dollars a piece but trust me they are worth it, ive never had good luck with any of the spark plugs listed for the 2.5l, specially not with what I've done to it, iridium plugs, platinum, copper, Nicole, even ruthenium plugs.... but these Brisk plugs are killers, ive never had my car run this well before, even my throttle response is better and the heat range is correct as well..

Pros: killers, car runs well, better throttle response, correct heat range
Cons: expensive
Vehicle: Volkswagen

BRISK Spark plug

I have used Rs7 plugs (meh), the APR recommended NGK plugs (rough idle, gapped correctly), and the Brisk ER12S. I'm on my second set of the Brisk, and plan to keep using them.

Pros: cheap enough
Cons: change them at 10k
Mileage: 10000 km

would suggest plugs, RS7 or Brisk 12's (cheaper) but coil packs are not needed.

Pros: cheaper alternative
Cons: tighter plug gap
Vehicle: Volkswagen
