Shock absorbers Rough Country or Sachs

Sachs Shock absorbers

I've had them for about 1,000 miles or so. Do they "work miracles?" No, but they are a marked improvement over the OEM Sachs. They are quite firm when cornering and braking, but compliant over rough roads at normal speeds.

Pros: marked improvement over OEM
Cons: quite firm
Mileage: 1000 km

We also have really bad roads. Stock ride height and stock shock absorbers work very good. The factory specification is oil in the front and gas in the rear. We usually use Sachs on our cars.

Pros: work very good

Sachs Shock absorbers

It is quite a hassle to change the fronts (the rear shocks however are a joke to change) so I would personally just go with the OEM = Sachs--as I did two months ago--if you can afford it and/or save up for it.

Pros: OEM quality, easy rear installation
Cons: hassle to change fronts
Vehicle: BMW

Sachs Shock absorbers

Pros: material bom
Cons: material linha branca

Rating 3.0

I've had a number of BMWs and VWs with Sachs shocks leak after 40-50k miles. It's not like they totally fail and collapse, they just start having much slower rebound and faster compression.

Cons: slower rebound, faster compression
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 64373 km

Their hard parts like control arms and brackets are pretty good, but their soft parts like shocks and joints aren't very good. They tend to be clunky and not last very long.

Pros: control arms pretty good
Cons: shocks not very good
