I recently did all 4 shocks in my 2002. I got the KYB Gas-a-just shocks from rockauto.com for like $40 per. They’re OEM fit and do what they’re supposed to.
I put KYB on my 07 Corolla and 2-3 months in they feel great, car rides very smooth.
I did KYB … They made a huge change to my 99 Corolla.
KYB. As good as OEM.
I just put kyb excel-G on my 07 xlt. Rides a little stiff but handles way better. And is definitely night and day riding over bumps/backroads
Went with KYbs to replace the originals on my 96. Drives like new and they were cheap off rock auto
I always ran Monroe shocks on my Rangers/B series since I did mostly on road driving and they held up great when I did go off road.
I'm running KYB shocks right now (not yet lowered) and it's a pretty reasonable ride
I just put Monroes on all around and my truck rides like a Sherman tank.
I initially replaced my front structs and rear shocks with KYB Excel-G parts as they “seemed” to have good ratings and reviews as “good” shocks. The ride quality is now more “rough” and “bouncy” since apparently these shocks/struts are more stiff.
