I use Mobil 1 synthetic 0w20 with Mobil1 M1-209 screw-on filter for the 2012. I've been doing this for these cars since they were new. We don't put too many miles/year on these cars and so I change the oil every fall and every spring. Never had a problem.

Pros: no problems
Vehicle: Mazda 3
Part number: M1-209

I used the Mann 950/4 on my 1.8t and sent my oil out for analysis to Blackstone labs. They reported that the filtration level for that filter was superior.

Pros: superior filtration level
Part number: 950/4

I had this very same problem with my golf. Replaced both oil pressure sensors....nothing. Did an oil change....nothing. Replaced the instrument cluster....nothing. I was about to pull the pan off the motor to check for clogging on the screen or if the pump was faulty when I thought about an engine flush. I did just that, new 10w40 oil and mann filter and problem solved.

Pros: problem solved
