Buy Mann/Mahle or equivalent filters - Amazon/ebay/rockauto. Those are OEM suppliers.
Last tip: if you change your oil yourself make ABSOLUTELY certain you use an OEM Mann filter. DO NOT use whatever Fram, M1, or whatever brand filter they have at your local autoparts store.
Also use a Mann filter. The idle oil pressure is very low, that combined with the thinner 30w oil could be just enough to be triggering the low oil light.
Amsoil signature series is good for 1 year/25000 miles, and the Amsoil ea filter is good for the same. It is cheaper too. Amsoil has been proven many times over to work.
I have not had oil light come back on since I changed the oil and filter. Was originally running 5w-30. Changed to Eurospec 0w-40 and a Mann oil filter and have not had the light come on. Have driven over 500 miles now.....
I got my last filter from Amazon, Mann 719/45. Amazon's site says it doesn't fit my CC but it fit just fine and lots of the comments were from people using them on the 2.0 TSI.
Buy a Mann filter iirc, 719/45, which is made in Germany.
stick with any 502 spec oil. I personal use "German Castrol" 0w-30. for filters I use OEM or Mann.
Latest score - Made in Germany Mann oil filter - at the Habitat for Humanity Restore.
I normally use Mann oil filters... He replaced it with my normal Mann filter and it never happened again. Changed oil three times since then with the Mann filter and light has never come on.
