Valvoline all round pretty much with the wix filter, i never plan ahead enough to order the oe filter
For the Oil Filter, I would recommend using either the Mazda filter or the Wix/Napa Gold aftermarket, as they are specifically built to meet the Skyactive engine's specifications.
I use Wix oil filter with every change. Decent price and is all metal with a good filter. Does the job and has never failed on me.
For the filter, the OEM is good quality and relatively low price. If you go aftermarket, the Wix filter (also sold as NapaGold) is one of the only ones specifically designed to meet the skyactive specs.
Yeah, the first thing I did was an oil change. I put liqui moly 5w-40 in the car and the oil level is top of the dipstick (EDIT: within the max/min level on the dipstick, top of max, I should specify). I put a Mahle filter in there as well.
I run Castrol Edge 5W-30 with Mahle filters and no stabilazers since I don\u2019t trust that bullshit. Changes every 10,000km and she\u2019s still running beautifully with 205,000km on the clock
Stick with a Bosch or a Wix and your car will last forever: this is very important now that oil change intervals have gotten much longer.
Mobile1 extended performance, Wix XP filters.
Wix has been one of the best I have seen in past years by cutting filters apart. Their pleating is most uniform and abundant plus other internal pieces such as springs, check valves, and relief valves are much high quality.
I only use WIX filters on my 04XT. They’re about the only ones that have the correct bypass pressure rating off the Amazon “shelf,” and their build quality is top-notch. I pay attention to things like this because I have an older turbocharged model with performance upgrades- she’s a bit picky haha.
