Oil filter Bosch or Mobil
I’ve got a 2013 3.5 eb and I change my oil every 4k miles. I do my own changes and use Mobil 1 full synthetic 5w30 with a Mobil 1 oil filter.
I buy Bosch filters through Rock Auto and oil during the Fleet Farm Black Friday rebate sale so my oil changes cost less than $10.
AcDelco filters and Mobil 1 filters are always good options to pick from. Don't get the 4 dollar Fram, please.
The Euro oil (which I seriously doubt Valvoline used) is about $30 for a 5q jug + $10 for an extra quart, and a Bosch filter about $15.
Mobil 1 filters are fine. I use them all the time in my E92 and I'm at 250k miles with ZERO engine issues. My car is used for commuting and has no modifications to it.
I chose to use Mobil1 0w16 oil and a Mobil1 oil filter ...made in Vietnam.
I tried to buy a filter, a bosch is a decent choice, but I wasn't able to find it, or I should import it for 100 sar ( which is expensive, most filter sold for 20 to 50 sar where I live - saudi arabia -)
The best oil filter is mobil 1 but there was a batch years back and could tell simply by shaking filter and would rattle.
I got denied an engine replacement from Hyundai/Kia in 2017 because of a Mobil1 oil filter in Canada and lost my appeal as well.
Got a 2015 scion XB, I changed the oil every 3000 to 3500 miles and I use a mobil1 M1-103A oil filter, I always put it on as tight as i can with a bare hand, every 3000 miles the oil filter loosens up.
