Oil filter Bosch or Mobil

Mobil Oil filter

911 here but reading this makes me cringe. 8 quarts of mobil 1 and a filter is $60-70. Takes less than 15 minutes to do.

Pros: easy to do
Cons: expensive at dealer
Vehicle: Porsche 911

For those still wondering or trying to second guess if this is correct. M1-104A has been on my bike for a solid year. I have 5,000 miles with no issues. I agree with others about the metric threading. There is a slight difference between the 104 and 107. Hope this helps.

Pros: no issues, good fit
Mileage: 5000 km
Part number: M1-104A

I also use the Mobile one extended oil filter and change with each 5000 mile iloil change. Oil comes out looking used but not over used.

Pros: oil comes out used
Cons: oil comes out over used
Mileage: 5000 km

Bosch Oil filter

That's the filter I've been using on my 2015 mazda 3, I've been getting them from Rock auto. So far no issues that I can see, took one filter apart after use and it seemed good.

Pros: no issues, seemed good
Vehicle: Mazda 3

Mobil Oil filter

I put the M1-301 on my car Monday instead of an M1-205. It's a really tight fit, especially where it barely clears a tab on the radiator.

Cons: really tight fit
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Part number: M1-301

Mobil 1 filters are made by Champion Labs, which they use a louvered center core. The downside is, consistency, as the louvers have a tendency to be not be completely punched open.

Cons: inconsistent quality, louvers not punched open
