Hella. Premium quality, OE supplier for many carmakers
I run the H4 conversions from HELLA and they have been great. A lot more light than the old sealed beams and retains the stock look unlike the dorky looking LEDs. I ran a relay harness so they get power direct from the battery.
Upgraded OEM style like hela. The og lights are effectively candles at this point.
I use to use the expensive Sylvania forget which one but they we're pricey. Posted on here several months ago and someone recommended the Osram night breaker 220 h4. They we're $29 but now up to $35 they are way brighter that the Sylvania I was using.
On the Osrams... I put a set on my 2017 GSW S about a year ago, and have been very happy. They're not as bright as the top-end LEDs that are on cars like Teslas, but they crush the old halogens for brightness, have good cutoff and color, don't vibrate or flicker, etc.
I just came across new headlights made by Hella which are look alike VW MK5 versions and installed one to test the beam pattern on my GTI337. It appears that VW MK5 versions are newer one and due to that fact are engineered to put more light on the road. There is no visible cut out in a beam pattern like on OEM versions, but the MK5 look alike seem to be winning on my check list.
There are no alternatives. It’s OEM Hella or Chinese crap. There are no options in the middle. There used to be DJ Autos but have been long discontinued.

Get a set of Hellas. Restore them. It’s the best option and you’ll have great headlights for life
significantly better than the Sylvania OE ones for light output, but with an OE style cutoff so you don’t blind other drivers.
I bought the hella retrobrights in classic white. I don't like the modern look of these.
what you do is chuck these in the garbage and just buy hella h4 replaceable 7" round headlights (they are glass as well so it wont fade/uv cooked) and stick with those. these offbrand amazon/ebay/temu/aliexpress halo led headlights have such garbage light output and beam pattern that you'd be better off just strapping led pen lights to the front of your car.
