I bought the Delphi one no issues.
I would also recommend avoiding Crown or OMIX-ADA for parts, they aren't 'top shelf', and this job- while easy- is a HUGE PITA. Don't want to do it again for a bad part. My research says Bosch, MOPAR, or Delphi. I believe Bosch and MOPAR no longer make them, so Delphi is what is left.
If you bought a GM Genuine one, what's inside the box will be a Delphi. Just buy the correct Delphi so you are getting the factory part without the stealership pricing. it's almost half the cost of the GM genuine. fuel pumps are a pain in the ass to have to take out and put back in, so just do yourself a favor and buy the $182 Delphi. Then you won't have to worry about "did my fuel pump fail *again*?".
Delphi on rockauto.com works well
I had the almost the same problem. I replaced the fuel pump with a replacement and it did not help at all. Just make sure that you replace with oem or brand name parts. After I replaced with delphi fuel pump as per a master tech at Lexus, it started right up.
I've used the Walboro 255 with stock lines/regulator and an analog fuel pressure regulator gauge right in the engine bay. No spikes, even when the pump is "hotwired" and the engine is off.
I used a Wallbro, but I think they make the Delco's.
I changed my fuel pump over the summer with a Delphi of course . And now while the truck is running I can hear a whining or buzzing noise coming from tank which I’m assuming is the pump. Any chance she might be on her way out ? I don’t remember such noise when the other died on me
Don't get a Delphi pump.
Mine gave out exactly one week after the one year warranty and filled my fuel filter with aluminum shavings.
So I've changed out my original fuel pump (Pierburg) on my 90 Corrado back in Jan 2024. Replaced it with the Delphi complete unit with pump and sender. Now less than 2 years later I need a new pump.
