I’ve had a Delphi in mine for a few years and it’s been perfect
I did this, and found a delphi branded pump with matching part numbers on Amazon for $20. Received the correct new part and installed 5k miles ago.
I went with a Delphi pump off rockauto. Was $110 or something like that a few months ago
I went with the Delphi fuel pump from Rock Auto for far less than the Delco branded one, but still a quality pump.
Got my Walbro Hellcat 525LPH in last night, there's definitely been a noticeable change in how the car behaves. On the FPR side, I had it set to 3bar with my stock pump in, the 525 instantly shot it to over 60psi with the same settings.
It fixed my weak starting issue, but then led me down a rabbit hole, which ended up being the fuel pump again. I bought a Delphi FE0486 and the car has been running great since.
I've ran Delphi pumps twice, so far so good.
I had my inline pump next to the fuel filter and it was way too noisy, ended up moving it to the engine compartment and fitted it inside some 3" tubing with insulation around it, just a slight whine at idle can be heard and none as you are driving
I bought the more expensive delphi pump from rock auto after that and it also failed in about the same time frame.
I have a high flow Walbro unit that I regret installing because of the constant noise it makes. Unless you need to support super high HP numbers with a modded engine, go with an OEM fuel pump. I will just have to live with my loud pump because it is way too much work to drop that tank again!
