Use either IDEMITSU Rotary oil or Valvoline Racing Oil.

Check the oil recommendation in the manual and then go with castrol edge or motul if you want to go the safe by the books route.

Valvoline oil and an STP filter. Good price and convenient because its at Autozone.

Motul 5w40 - shit is so good you can pour it over your salad.

I use Motul oil on all motorcycles because even though its more expensive, its still not that expensive.

Pros: motorcycle specific formulation

Cons: more expensive

Thanks - I just ordered 2 5-qt jugs of the 5W40, less than $25 each and free shipping. We use this in my 2016 GSW and my wife's 2007 A4.
