Engine oil PENNZOIL or OEM Volkswagen

I’ve used nothing but Pennzoil Platinum since the free oil changes ran out, 150k or so now, and never had a problem.

I use an oil extractor on our 2016 Tiguan, my 2016 A4, and 2023 Arteon. All have done a great job and make an oil change an absolute breeze.

I prefer ultra platinum over mobil 1 since ultra is used with a group 3+ base oil, which has better heat handling than regular group 3 oil.

I use pennzoil ultra platinum 0w-20 and a purolator BOSS filter

I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30.

2020 Telluride with 80,000 mi still going strong with Pennzoil Platinum Ultra at regular change intervals.

I often find Pennzoil Platinum Euro LX at 37$ for 5L at Canadian tire. They are all great oils.

Penziol platinum on my 23. change it every 5k and it’s still golden

Wife has a 2015 jetta with the 1.8t and burns 1L every 500 -700 miles. My 2016 a3 burns relatively nothing but maybe half a liter every oil change interval and has same engine.

I tried pennzoil and didn't like it. The engine developed a soft tick after about 3k miles. Went back to Castrol and the tick hasn't returned.
