Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or Castrol
Every 5,000-6,500 km oil change using **VW.508** oil (NO 10,000 km oil changes)... Oil like Liqui Moly **Top Tec 6200 0W-20**
I have a plug for Liquimoly so I run that year round.
I replaced the plugs, oil/filter and air filter with oem parts when I got it. I\u2019ve been changing the oil at 5k intervals with the recommended Castrol 0w-20.
I'm running 0w30 from liquid molly and im tuned on e85. I live in Boston so cold 20f mornings ???? I have the red sport with the oil cooler and the f$cking oil just won't get hot enough and stays at 165 to 170 and good enough to do pulls but not up to temp so 0w30 protects more in cold starts and it's not hot enough to cook so perfect. I do switch to 5w30 in summer.
I run Castrol (bought at Walmart), like my father and his father did before me...
I still use the VW spec Liqui Moly I used before the delete. Sure it's not as needed for the DPF, but low ashing is still better for the turbo, and it's still a high quality oil i know will be good at least through the 10k recommended interval.
N20s are trash, but regarding the oil opinion: I have a client with over 250k miles on his original N20. I've been the only shop servicing it since 20k. 0W20 Liqui Moly every time. Still on the original turbo, chain guides, oil pump, everything.
I like the mobil 1 esp because I can find it at Walmart for less than $30 for 5 qt. I also run the liquimoly 505 5w40 oil and it holds up really well but costs a lot more.
Got my oil changed about a week again (LiquiMoly 5w40) and now I’m getting this warning saying my oil level is too high.
I used Liqui Moly 10 40 for my 3vzfe 96 camry. The car started making a horrible ticking noise coming from the valve cover. Its at 225k miles. The engine runs good but noise is annoying.
