Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or Castrol
Take liquimoly for instance, they only have certain oils that meet the VW 508 00 spec but many of their oils are the same weight. None of which will cause your engine to explode if you use them.
295,000 miles using Castrol GTX high mileage and fram XG filter
I would take a good look at the brake fluid and stale gasoline but the rest should be fine.
I use 10W/60 LiquiMoly 365 days.
Michigan I use 0w20 Castrol Edge all year.
As long as you're not getting cheap gas station brand oil, you'll be fine. I've been using Castrol Edge 5w40.
Mate, just get Castrol Magnatec 5w30 full synthetic and change it every 8000km or 1 year, don't fall for snake oil propoganda
Luqi Molly 10w-30 with K&N filter in the winter. Mobile1 T4 10w-40 with K&N in the summer.
If changing oil at 15k kms interval has served you well for 2 lakh kilometers, then I'd recommend sticking to it instead of switching to an oil with long service life. 30k kms oil change interval claim is a big stretch. I've used LiquiMoly 5w-40 with my Polo 1.2L TDI. Drove it close to or may be more than 20k kms over the course of 3 years until the check engine light came on. Immediately changed to OEM engine oil and for some reason the check engine light went away. Except with LiquiMoly, I've always changed engine oil at 15k kms or 1 year whichever was earlier. This is what my car's manufacturer recommends and I'll follow it even if I use LiquiMoly again.
It’s not any better than Walmart Castrol, just double if not triple the price. I’m 160k tuned!!!
