I have use Amsoil European since new! 185,540km so far, and still purrs like a kitten, does not use oil, and the oil is highly rated!

Pros: engine purrs, no oil consumption, highly rated
Mileage: 185540 km

LIQUI MOLY Engine oil

I might add use the best oil you can find - this will keep your PCV system spotless and other good things. I always use oil to the severe service Volvo spec listed in the owners manual. I now am pretty exclusive to the LiquiMoly line. I insist on 3rd party certification

Pros: keeps PCV spotless, 3rd party certified
Vehicle: Volvo V90

I use Amsoil 20w40 in all of my semi truck motors. I change it according to what the lab says the condition of my motor and oil. I am going 100,000 miles on my over the road trucks. I go 25,000 on my power stroke and could go much farther.

Pros: long oil change intervals

AMSOIL Engine oil

I switched to 5w-30 instead of the factory spec 0w-20 and that slowed down my consumption. I use Amsoil to maximize protection with use of the "wrong" oil weight and I monitor wear with oil analysis and seem to have no change in wear from my 0w-20 use.

Pros: slowed consumption, maximized protection, no wear change
Mileage: 180000 km
