Our Blueprint crate 383 stroker calls for Rotella as an acceptable oil for daily use. Cheaper, too.

Run Rotella in my 80’s and 90’s BMW’s often. They seem to like it, and sometimes it’s cheap at Walmart.

Ran t4 10w30 in my 95 Cherokee for the whole time I had it and it loved in. Never ran better

Previous comments about mobil 1 are right it’s best for reliability - castrol are seen as high performance oils

mobil 1 is trash. i go with castrol5w40 or motul 5w40 or rotella diesel 5w40

I ran diesel oil in my '94 yukon for the entirety of it's 260k miles. My dad always said the same. The zinc was better for it. When I got rid of it, it was still running fine and driving fine.

Pros: running fine, driving fine

I’ve been using rottela t 15w-40 in my 70 Camaro for this reason.

I use Rotella in old VW Bug. Seems to work well but i put very few miles on the car.

I was using the OEM Castrol 5w40 and recently switched to Castrol European Formula 0w40. I found that I had the oil level drop a bit (oil burn perhaps) with the latter. For the current change I went back to OE Castrol and will see if things go back to no level drop.

Pros: no oil level drop (OEM 5w40)

Cons: oil level drop (European Formula 0w40)
