Castrol Edge 5w-30 Full Synthetic Euro Car. It carries the BMW Longlife 01 cert.
I recently did my first track day on a day with 105 degrees temps. I went with Castrol Edge 5w-30 and the car did amazing.
I use Castrol for my 05 320 cdi. It meets the extended service oil spec, but I run it as "regular" oil.
I use for 2 years Castrol 5w30 its perfect after for top up i use Ina (croatian motor oil) and works perfect
My 2006 WRX has 323k on Castrol 10w-30.
I run Castrol GTX conventional oil in my 1972 Chevy C10 (350). I also ran that in a 1976 BMW 2002 I had in the 80s.
I had a 2009 Jetta diesel that used a bit of oil until it hit 60000 miles, then it stopped and did not use ANY between the 8000 mile intervals I used.
I'm a Castrol syntec guy and I like Kirkland oil. So that's what my cars get.
My previous MK7 GTI used a quart about every 3K miles from the day it was new until I traded it at 212K.
Castrol edge is junk.
