Engine oil Castrol or OEM Toyota

Castrol Engine oil

The OEM oil filter worked well to keep insolubles low, and after 8,570 miles on this fill of Castrol High Mileage, the 2.8 TBN shows the oil had active additive to spare.

Pros: keeps insolubles low
Vehicle: Toyota Sequoia
Mileage: 8570 km

Castrol Engine oil

Personally on my half million mile M54 E46 I use Castrol edge high mileage 5W-30 with a ok filter; mobile one or the stp extended life filter as those two typically come with the red o rings which tend to last much longer than the black ones.

Pros: red o rings last longer
Cons: ok filter
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 804672 km

BMW has been endorsing Castrol since the early 1990's and I have to say that I've never had anything but good results using Castrol. I think it is a great oil and seems to do really well in BMWs.

Pros: good results, great oil
Vehicle: BMW
