Castrol edge and OEM filter for turbo.
I’ve always used 5W-30 Castrol Edge Titanium, available at Wal Mart. My Blackstone report came back good a long time ago on it.
My Honda CR-Z manual says to use 0W20 oil for best performance and longevity so I follow that advice.
At 1st I was running 0w-20, that's what is recommended from manufacturer. That being said i run High Mileage 5w30 in my car. Have been for the last 3 oil changes.
Preferred Castrol edge 0w-20 during the warranty period and 5w-30 after the warranty period. The engine is quieter with 5w-30.
The ss will have Castrol that they use for big bikes it’s better than prolube and Motul 7100 in my experience.
I just use Castrol magnatec 10w40 here in the Netherlands in my m20.
The closest I found was Castrol? Long life 507 which was £40 for 5L from Amazon, but I had to buy the stuff direct from VW as was pushed for time for my oil change (with a friend).
Castrol euro 540. Tried liquid moly and a few others but my car burns them for some reason.
Avoid. Tried it, it burnt off very quickly. Back to Castrol with my tail between my legs.
