Castrol Engine oil

Castrol Edge Extended Performance 0W-20. Haven’t had to change the oil yet but I will around 7500 miles for peace of mind.

Pros: peace of mind

After tuning. Castrol edge 5w40 and 6 months or 5k.

Figure the changes are cheap insurance.

Pros: cheap insurance

Castrol Engine oil

In the desert, I use [Castrol Euro 5W-40] - it's easy to find everywhere and pretty cheap. It's technically only an API SN, but the actual test results seem to indicate it exceeds SN+ requirements in most every metric that matters

Pros: easy to find, pretty cheap

Absolutely always use mazda filter and the owners manual says use Castrol which the three local Mazda dealers use this I also go with it. Over 60k miles with oil changes anywhere between 3k-6k and still runs great.

Pros: runs great, over 60k miles
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 96560 km

MOTUL Engine oil

For Motul you want xcess not X-clean. X-clean is only for things with direct injection. I would do xcess or t6, ether work in 5w-40. I do both of them with my stage 2.6 IAG block as they recommend. Mostly Motul, but the last change I did was t6 since I could not get motul locally or in a reasonable amount of time.

Pros: works well
Cons: availability issues
