I have Akebono on my 330 and TRW Ultra TXC1171 on my 328, I have to say the TRWs have excellent bite and the brake dust is minimal as well.

Pros: excellent bite, minimal dust
Vehicle: BMW
Part number: TXC1171

I would recommend getting TRW Ceramics if you're going to change them. Affordable, good stopping power, low dust, quiet

Just did the front pads and rotors on my wife’s 2020. Went with Zimmerman rotors and TRW pads and it brakes like a dream, was recommended them from a friend's euro and exotic shop.

Pros: brakes like a dream

Textar Brake pads

Textar is a renowned brand for brake pads. I like em. Although weirdly, I find their aftermarket pads to be better than the pads they supply to OEs like BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche.

Pros: good aftermarket pads
Cons: OE pads inferior

TRW Brake pads

They look about par for an economy, aftermarket brake pad. I use TRW on my beaters pretty often. Mine often don't come wrapped in anything other than a rubber band. They aren't OEM quality, but for 20 bucks a pair...I'll deal with it and have never had an issue.

Pros: inexpensive, usable
Cons: not OEM quality

Textar Brake pads

Quality pads and rotors tend not to warp out in a couple hundred miles. If you bought Durlast junk from Autoroo then that's the reason. Stick with OE/OEM Quality like ATE rotors and Textar pads.

Pros: OE/OEM Quality
Cons: Durlast junk

Textar Brake pads

I replaced my brake pads with Textar pads and they are squealing so bad that it is embarrassing to drive it around town. If you are standing outside the car it hurts your ears. I had Porsche sand down the edges of the discs and this has helped a little but not to the point I am satisfied. Although the pads are only a month old I have decided to replace them with another brand.

Cons: excessive squealing, unsatisfactory
