Brake pads POWER STOP or OEM Toyota

POWER STOP Brake pads

Just installed the powerstops yesterday. Did the break in, and they feel much better than the basics i had on. You can feel the stopping power by i would say 30% more than just regular rotors and pads.

Pros: much better, 30% more stopping power

POWER STOP Brake pads

I installed power stop brakes a year ago. I have a 2004 V6, with the smaller caliper. The power stop is a huge upgrade. Been off-road with them, downhill coming from lake Tahoe with my family of 5 and full load, towed a few thousand lbs to the dump, brakes did great. I swapped because my rotors always warped, after 3 full rotor changes I had enough.

Pros: huge upgrade, brakes did great
Cons: calipers are red

I recently (about 5K miles ago) did Powerstops and absolutely love them. I’ve done many brakes on many of my Toyota/Lexus SUVs and most of the time have had best luck with OEM, but the OEM on my Sequoia not so much (warping/pulsing). With much research found the Powerstop drilled and slotted are great for these large beasts…and indeed they are!

Pros: love them, great
Mileage: 5000 km

I have had good experiences with PowerStop rotors/pads. I tow an 8k camper regularly with my half ton on stock wheels/height.

Pros: good experiences, effective for towing

OEM Toyota Brake pads

I went to the Toyota dealership to get my free oil change, brake pads were nearly at EOL. Went back to the same Toyota dealership for my next free oil change, same brake pads suddenly had 4mm.

Cons: brake pads nearly EOL
Vehicle: Toyota
