Brake pads POWER STOP or OEM Mazda

I put Powerstop Z23 pads on my 2022 3 a few months back. No issues at all.

I put Powerstop Z23s on the front of my '20 and I'm very happy with them. A little noisy on cold mornings for the first couple applications but that goes away when they warm up a tiny bit.

Project Mu Club racers front and rear will cost the same as just the XP10 fronts. Then use powerstop Z16 for the street, super low dust. Same rotors for both.

I run power stop on my IS250 for the past 5 years. They somehow still look brand new over the past 50k miles so they really do last.

I put Powerstops (drilled/slotted) on my Sequoia and couldn’t be happier. And I’ve done a LOT brakes, typically using OEM, but research showed I could do better on the heavy Sequoia especially. ’ll be putting them on my GX and 4Runner next time they need brakes!

Happy to report the upgrade seems to be worth the effort. The brakes seemed very smooth and responded well on all the downhill coming through the mountains. No noticeable noise, overheating or warping of any kind. Just smooth consistent brake and pedal feel for the entire trip out and back.

I bought the Mazda a while ago and hated it. I improved my skills and bought it again last night. It was a fucking blast. Have to be careful with the brakes and backend sliding but it is a straights rocket and has decent cornering without any assists.

Initially had a "tinny" sound PLUS a rubbing sound on the fronts that coincides with the wheel rotation PLUS a bit of squeel when stopping when cold. The sounds are still therre. It's very noticeable at low speeds (below 10MPH). Brake dust is very minimal.

Raybestos or Bosch, I've had nothing but problems with power stop every time I've tried them.
