Brake pads POWER STOP or OEM Mazda
PowerStop ceramics. I put them on the fronts. Dust was crazy on the OEMs
Unless you do extreme driving (lots of mountains runs, hot laps on track, etc) slotted and or drilled rotors are a waste of money. They will cause much higher pad wear. Spend your money on good pads and buy meh rotors to get best bang for your buck and longevity.
Powerstop z23/z26 are both pretty good, have ran a couple sets.
The z23 pads handle heat better but they’re not that aggressive in terms of needing to warmup. Its still very much a street pad. For me pedal pressure feels stiffer but slightly spongier than stock if that makes sense. Not a bad thing just something to get used to, and you get used to it quickly. I’d recommend them.
Compare pricing, but I agree with other recommendations for Power Stop Z36 for towing. Huge upgrade to stock.
As for a recommendation on brake pads, I like the Powerstop brand pads. They're pretty low dust and perform well and last a long time
Love my Powerstop Z23’s. Very little dust and great price
Get Powerstop Pads and 2 piece brembo rotors. You’ll come in at less than performance kit and practically no brake dust. From my experience I got the same brake feel as oem, I wouldn’t track it with those pads though.
When I bought my ‘18 AMG GLE43 back in July, I bought a complete set of PowerStop performance ceramic pads and drilled & slotted rotors for the front and back. Since that time, I’ve put over 4000 miles on my AMG GLE43 and the new brake setup works incredibly well. They look great, feel great
I've got Power Stop track day spec pads. They're a little noisy when cold and make a lot of dust but they still stop hard when cold and even better when they have some heat in them.
I’ve used powerstop and they’re no better than any cheap/ mid range brakes
