Brake pads OEM Volvo or OEM Audi
Had my pads changed (Volvo service centre) at 30k ish miles, at the main dealer and the discs were fine.
Paid £420 + £180 fitting for mine front and back on a 2019 Audi A4 by going via Euro Car Parts when the Audi garage quoted £1200!!
What bloody manufacturer is this? For my Volvo XC60 it’s around £330 for front discs and pads main dealer
Got a 2014 DSG and find around town it’s 22-26 mpg but 35 on long motorway runs.
Audi 4 piston front brakes - 26lbs lighter
People can talk all they want but I had a 2017 A4 bought at 32k miles and sold with 94k 2.5 years later in 2022 and it was by far the most reliable and hassle free car I ever had. Nothing but routine maintenance, in that period I didn’t even have to change the brakes.
I took my XC40 to a local mechanic who only works on Volvo's and Saab vehicles and the cost for brakes, rotors, and oil change was $1200.
I recently had the brakes done on my 2016 XC 60 by my long-term mechanic. It was all four corners with pads and rotors. He charged $1300 Canadian (950 USD).
The brakes made of wet cardboard is the only disappointment I have with my 2020 XC90.
