I've NEVER been able to keep the brakes as good as a Subaru. Even Buick and Chevrolet dealer brake jobs were no better than me doing it myself, but Subaru seems to be great so far. So far, I'm very impressed, and the brakes ALONE are a reason I have become a Subaru convert.
I'm at 62k and have not had to replace pads. Family member was 100k+ in an Impreza without changing pads.
From brakes have been solid
On a 428 both lower control forward arms including labor I believe $320 to $350
Brake pads brake, w e a r sensor and I believe both speed sensors under $400 no rotors were replaced.
Parts cost about 500$ for front and rear brakes if do yourself.
the VB brakes are fine until they get really hot at which point they fade badly.
personally, yeah i don't find the brakes to be particularly worse than my other non performance cars. i did feel like that at first but once i got used to it it was no issue.
You bought a BMW and now have to pay to keep it running and this is what it costs.
I had to change the front factory break pads on my Outback 2022 after 28k km (~18k miles). Dealership told me it is normal ...
My 2022 outback wilderness went through 2 sets of pads and rotors in 35,000miles. They warranted the front rotors at 8,000, but didn’t replace the pads. Then they warranted all the rotors but not the pads the second time. However, I do drive fast and late brake.
