Brake pads OEM Nissan or OEM Audi

OEM Audi Brake pads

People can talk all they want but I had a 2017 A4 bought at 32k miles and sold with 94k 2.5 years later in 2022 and it was by far the most reliable and hassle free car I ever had. Nothing but routine maintenance, in that period I didn’t even have to change the brakes.

OEM Audi Brake pads

The rear brake wear on the B9 SQ5 is a known thing. The programming for stability control is super aggressive on applying the rear brakes on turns to keep the rear of the car planted so the rear pads wear down fast if you are even just a moderately spirited driver. The rear pads on my SQ5 only lasted 17k before reaching 2mm

i have an 80zx with an sbc swap, i’ve rebuilt all 4 brakes, replaced a master, swapped coiled did bushings replaced u joints

My car has smaller brakes than yours, so I was able to downsize to a 245 45R17 for winter use from the 255 35R19 summers and the car is so much smoother but still can handle just as good.

Pros: car is much smoother

Nissan brakes are on this squeak train as well. We barely have a remedy for it, other than ‘regreasing’ them. I tell my customers that the pads are designed with materials for better braking and less dust, at the cost of noisy brakes when cold.

Pros: better braking, less dust
Cons: noisy brakes when cold
