Brake pads OEM Nissan or Hawk Performance

OEM Nissan Brake pads

OEM pads and rotors for brakes

OEM gave me 140k miles with stock setup, but only about 60k with Titan swap, wider stance, more weight

Pros: long lasting stock setup
Cons: less mileage after swap
Vehicle: Nissan
Mileage: 140000 km

Hawk Performance Brake pads

After researching, I'm going to go for the Hawk HPS 5.0 next time I go to the track or wear my current ones down. From what I've read, it's a comparable to the oem feel, but produces less dust, which sounds really nice for my occasional trip to the track and for keeping my wheels clean.

Pros: less dust, oem feel

Rating 3.0

Just put Zimmerman rotors and the Hawk Street pads on my non- PP gti. These pads unfortunately shift up and down and make a loud “clank” when braking on transition from 1st to reverse. They still bite great

Pros: bite great
Cons: loud clank, pads shift
Vehicle: Volkswagen
