I run DS3.12 now and ran DS1.11 on my previous car on track and love them (better then PFC-08)
My stock OEM pads are Ferodo DS2500 and I love them for daily and light track days.
Personally, I’m a fan of Ferodo, but I typically need to get them from the UK.
The AP Racing kit was installed with a set of Ferodo DS2500s in the front and stock OEM pads installed fresh in the rear.
I did tons of research and settled on Ferodo DS3.12 (FCP4425G) in front and DS1.11 (FCP4697W) rear with Castrol SRF fluid. Stock R calipers and rotors have held up as well as any aftermarkets I read about for MUCH less $. Zero issues, and cheap.
I've had good results with Ferodo DS2500 pads. More torque than stock, dusting about the same.
I love the Ferodo DS 1.11 that I use on my M4. They're noisy and the dust is epic but they're totally fine to drive to and from the track. I've used them at a few track days at California Speedway, they're wearing really well, and I've never had even the slightest fade.
SOLVED - I simply overheated the pads. Spoke to Ferodo and I followed their advice: Bed in was fine. Overheating led to pad material bake to the rotors. 120 grit block sanding on the rotors removed this. Pads were a little glazed but 80 grit sanding removed the shiny bits. Bed in again and running well but haven’t pushed it yet so unsure if the pads are done.
I really really disliked the ebc yellow I tried. I like my ferodo ds2500 as a pad that’s streetable but tough, they do dust more then a true Street pad and make more noise.
Got a 60k MYLR, my pads and rotors seem fine but I keep getting this super loud squeal sound when I brake.
