Personally, I’m a fan of Ferodo, but I typically need to get them from the UK.
I’m a big fan of Centric rotors and pads. To me they’re in the category of OEM+ and they’re still affordable.
The AP Racing kit was installed with a set of Ferodo DS2500s in the front and stock OEM pads installed fresh in the rear.
I buy a lot of denso parts, gates or continental generally for belts and such. Centric for brakes.
I did tons of research and settled on Ferodo DS3.12 (FCP4425G) in front and DS1.11 (FCP4697W) rear with Castrol SRF fluid. Stock R calipers and rotors have held up as well as any aftermarkets I read about for MUCH less $. Zero issues, and cheap.
IMO do not put anything OEM on the car as a replacement. Find something with a better pad/rotor combo that doesn't leave deposits Ilike Centric stuff a lot with the Ceramic pads. Good combo
Centric ceramic brake pads
I've had good results with Ferodo DS2500 pads. More torque than stock, dusting about the same.
I have Ferodo DS2500 pads on my 987 Cayman. They are a good pad for street/track duty and it seems they come recommended on the forums. Just remember a dual purpose pads are okay for street and track, but not great in either.
For my 987 the pagids would squeal the most. PFC08 weren’t as bad with similar performance. If you want a hybrid street/track pad that will be pretty quiet on the street (as long as you bed properly) the Ferodo DS2500 is not bad, just be aware if you’re tracking on them at a good pace under heavy braking they can wear quickly. I ran them at the glen and was able to get maybe 3 good days out of a set.
