Brake pads EBC or POWER STOP

EBC Brake pads

I switched to EBC red stuff pads when I had my BBK installed. I like them, but haven't taken them to the track yet. Much less dust than stock.

Pros: much less dust

EBC Brake pads

You'll be fine with those pads, your final lap should always be a cool down lap and when you park your car never use the E brake. I use the same brake pad and have been tracking on them for 3 years now, 28 days on them last year.

Pros: long lasting, good performance
Vehicle: Mazda

POWER STOP Brake pads

I am running the power stop cross drilled and slotted with carbon fiber and ceramic pads. But it is only because it was so cheap I couldn't pass it up.

Pros: cheap, carbon fiber

I recommend Powerstop pads and rotors. I’ve had their pads for about a year and the pads are about an 8th worn. They say they’re carbon fiber infused but I don’t know how accurate that is. But they feel great and for performance rotors they offer a lot of bang for your buck.

Pros: great feel, good value
Cons: pad wear unknown

EBC Brake pads

I have them on my rear axel with slotted EBC rotors. No squealing what so ever with about 3,000km's on them so far. It was properly bedded so idk if that's why some folks are having issues.

Pros: no squealing, long lifespan
Mileage: 3000 km

I have ebc redstuff on my fiesta st. Best pad for the money hands down. With my car/community, they are the best pad for a DD with more grab and less dust than stock. They also last way longer.

Pros: best value, more grab, less dust

I actually just put new rotors and redstuff on all four corners. I have not had any issues with them. Just make sure you bed them in. I think the only time they squealed was early in the morning when it was cold. After a couple stops at stop signs, I never heard from them.

Pros: no issues, quiet after bedding
Cons: squealed when cold

FWIW - I used EBC yellows with S3 single piston calipers on the track with both my A3 and now my TT. The EBC usually only lasted one track weekend, prone to brake fad, and ate up the rotors (both stock and StopTech) pretty bad. I have Pagid RSL29 now on the front (with EBC rotors), and they are fantastic on the track. I didnt realize how much the yellows under-performed until I got the Pagids. Just passing it along...

Pros: fantastic on the track
Cons: prone to brake fad
Vehicle: Audi TT

EBC are complete trash sorry. Street only use they are fine. Anything more than mild track use and they will fall apart. Carbotech xp8 would be your best option. Hawk black would be a good alternative.

Cons: falls apart under track use
