Brake pads EBC or POWER STOP
I replaced ,my stock pads with power stop pads ms they are amazing and next to no dust
Listen, try to change your brake pads and just to be sure, fill a new brake fluid and the problem likely will go away. But try pads first. I recommend using EBC DOUBLE H sintered pads
I had put a PowerStop set on our 2008 SL and was very happy with that, lasted a lot longer than what I had used previously
So I ordered front and rear (electronic parking brake) sets for our 2018 SL, was helped with that decision by each set having a $30 mail in rebate at the time
Done about 4k miles since, no problems
I just put this Power Stop CRK6762 set on my 2018 and it’s been great so far
I did several track days last year in my 2016 GTI with EBC blue stuff pads front and back. Really liked them. Stayed good for 20 and 30min sessions. Used fresh motul rbf600 fluid.
So, I run EBC yellow stuff, and they're honestly pretty fantastic street pads that will tolerate the use of light duty track days and autocross. I've ran them on multiple vehicles because they have a nice cold bite while still being able to cope with higher temps and having a good feel in modulation. Though, I've decided to for this season move to the blue stuff pads for one of the toys seeing track time this year. Do be warned, the Yellowstuff pads can be rather dusty.
I’ve been a big fan of every EBC pad I’ve used. I liked yellowstuff but not when it’s winter. When they are hot they are incomparable to anything else I’ve used (I have used very few different pads so this isn’t a real data point). I like greenstuff for anything but driving at 9/10ths or above. They tend to fade quickly. I’m running Redstuff pads now and they seem good but I haven’t pushed them. They have a little more overhead than greenstuff apparently. They work well at low temperatures.
I have a zimmerman rotor with z23 powerstop pads brakes faster than stock plus less brake dust
I run EBC Yellowstuff on mine and while the dust factor kinda sucks imo, it’s not that bad all things considered
Bought a set of Powerstop pads and rotors for my Avalon. Every single pad had paint on the edge that prevent the pad from sliding smoothly. Ended up sanding the edges of all 8 pads before I could install them. The rotors warped in 20k miles on the front, and 1 of the pads cracked...
