Brake pads EBC or OEM Volvo

EBC Brake pads

For what it's worth, I had the shudder too, it was pad deposits on the rotors. New EBC pads, some hard braking, and it went away.

Pros: shudder went away

EBC Brake pads

I just put red stuff on my Stinger GT2 and love them . I also put geo series drilled and slotted rotors. What I will share with you is I had to pull the metal plates off my break pads so that they could fit but other than that their great.

Pros: great brakes, good performance
Cons: pads needed modification
Vehicle: Kia

I've been daily driving my SR11 for a year, and almost 10k miles in my Type R. Never had these issues, not even close. As someone else said, I have immediate bite even in zero degree temps. Have tracked them a few times with no issues either. I bought another set for when these eventually wear out, although that is taking a while.

Pros: immediate bite, consistent braking
Vehicle: Honda Civic
Mileage: 10000 km

EBC Ultimax brakes, from PerfectBrakes.com - low dust, fantastic performance. My cruise control took a while to get used to the new brake pads.

Pros: low dust, fantastic performance
Cons: cruise control adjustment needed

The pads work great, no fade for me at my skill level, even with a 40 minute session. Also work great on the street, with no noise or issues cold. However, I am using up about 70% of the pad in 2 hours of track driving. Particularly the rear pads, which are wearing noticeably quicker than the fronts.

Pros: good street performance, no fade
Cons: high wear rate, rear wear

Those look to be EBC "greenstuff" brake pads. "For spirited street use on lighter sports sedans and hot hatches, Greenstuff 2000 series is a perfect choice." They are made more for performance than driveability, they aee not really meant for your average daily driver. They are not bad pads, but they are intended more for the weekend racer. The pads will be noisy and harder on the rotors than regular pads. EBC also offers a red pad that is even more aggressive and intended strictly for track use.

Pros: good performance
Cons: noisy, hard on rotors
